I get asked about supplements all the time. I can see why, because the prices can add up so fast. Generally, I'm not a big health food supplement guy. To me, if you eat right, train right and sleep right you'll see the results you're looking for, guaranteed.
The problem lies right there, eating right. So many of you just don't feel like you have the time to eat right. That's where nutritional health supplements come into play.
There are cases that require the use of health food supplements. Cases in which normal eating schedules just can't be worked out. In those cases I do recommend the use of nutritional health supplements.
Recommendations are highly individual and sometimes can vary greatly from person to person. What I've done here is list the general health food supplements most people will need to take.
Everyone is finally catching on to protein. Bodybuilders have known for years. You've got to get your protein, and it's hard for most people to eat their daily total of protein. Especially important for weight loss. Protein is what will increase your metabolism, (your resting temperature). Skipping protein servings is a sure way to short circuit your results.
Now for protein, there are two choices. The best value for quality, and the best period. The reason I'm including both is because they are both relevant.
For meal replacements there is best tasting, and best period.
Some of you simply won't take anything if it doesn't taste good. Health food supplements are not famous for their good taste, so if I have a good product that tastes great, I'm happy to recommend it to you.
By the way, these are the best prices on the net. If you find these health food supplements anywhere else for less please let me know. I haven't found any (and I'm checking constantly).
Several of these you have a choice between 2lb. and 4lb. or 5lb. I highly recommend the larger option in all cases. Not only is it cheaper that way, but you'll go crazy trying to order all the time. Don't skip your protein. It makes all the difference. It's easy. Take 8 oz. water, 2 scoops of powder, shake it up for a minute, and drink. I do this in those liter sized Tupperware water holders. Just put in your scoops the night before, then at work the next day, you just pull one out go to the drinking fountain and get your 8oz. water. Shake, and you're done!
The difference between meal replacement powder and protein is that one has carbs. That would be the meal replacement powder. Designed to be what it says, a "meal replacement", it needs a good balance of nutrients with low sugar in order to qualify as "good".

There you have it. As far as nutritional health supplements go, these are tops. Just about everyone needs them, (no matter what you think.) Health food supplements can give you a significant advantage in the goal attaining department, if used properly.
